This is the second in a series of major events during the golf season kicks off on Thursday morning , with the 2022 PGA Championship teeing off at Southern Hills. The field is dominated by the 2007 PGA Championship winner Tiger Woods — who won the title on this exact course in the last time it played host to major championships — as well as a host of former winners at the tournament ranging across Brooks Koepka to Collin Morikawa There’s plenty of stories to be told this week, with that Wanamaker Trophy set to change hands.
Phil Mickelson’s unsettling absence casts over the tournament as a shadow following an early withdrawal, but the older generation will be represented and will be accompanied by Woods.
