Bodie and Morgan Myles were defeated by Team Blake’s season 22 champion of The Voice.
Bryce Leatherwood won The Voice season 22 thanks to American voters.
Fans eagerly watched as the Georgia native was named the new winner of the NBC singing competition show during Tuesday night’s two-hour conclusion. The aspiring country singer defeated fellow Voice contestants bodie (Team Blake), Morgan Myles (Team Camila), Omar Jose Cardona (Team Legend), and Brayden Lape to receive the heart-pounding news (Team Blake).
Bryce performed “Hillbilly Bone” with fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton for his last performance. It marked the end of a turbulent 22nd season that began with his iconic blind audition performance of “Goodbye Time” by Conway Twitty. The up-and-coming talent proceeded to stand out time and time again with his heartfelt songs and chic clothing when Blake, the current Voice coach, welcomed Bryce to his squad. Additionally, John Legend, Camila Cabello, Gwen Stefani, and the other coaches on The Voice were equally as delighted with him.
After performing “Colder Weather” by the Zac Brown Band and “Red Dirt Road” by Brooks & Dunn in the Battle and Knockout rounds, respectively, Bryce established his position in the competition and advanced to the final round.
The huge news was announced by host Carson Daly after an exciting evening that featured special performances by Kelly Clarkson, OneRepublic, Maluma, and The Voice season 21 champions Girl Named Tom. Without wasting a beat, supporters immediately participated in the celebration on Twitter.
“Bryce, congratulations!” When I first heard you sing, I immediately knew you were going to be a success. You’ve been a finalist on my team since the start of this competition! One commenter said, “I can’t wait to hear you on country radio!” “Bryce earned the victory! best vocalist! Always on the mark! Congratulations and best wishes!” chimed in another. “BRYCE WON! YESSSSS! THE WIN IS FOR TEAM BLAKE! @blakeshelton snatched his ‘back’!” exclaimed another supporter.
On the other hand, some Voice viewers were unhappy that bodie did not win the competition. “Wow! Bodie WILL make it without winning, a follower wrote. “THAT was a SHOCKER. “BODIE! I was robbed!” another user tweeted. “Bryce was great, but Bodie, wow, he should have won,” someone said. I’m very sad,” a second person added.
Even though there can only be one Voice winner, we’re confident that Bode, along with Morgan, Omar, and Brayden, will return. Bryce will sign a recording contract with Universal Music Group, as fans may already be aware, and we’ll be crossing our fingers that he’ll start releasing new original music soon.
