Lindsay Arnold Says She’s Quitting DWTS to Spend More Time with Her Family: One of the Most Difficult Decisions

Lindsay Arnold is putting away her shoes from Dancing with the Stars.

After more than ten years, the DWTS pro announced on Wednesday that she is leaving the celebrity dance competition series.

She said besides a picture of herself, her husband Samuel Lightner Cusick, and their daughter Sage Jill, who they welcomed in November 2020, “I wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to be a part of Dancing With the Stars this season.”

Arnold went on, “One of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but in the end, I went with what I think is best for my family and me. Since DWTS has been a part of my life for over ten years, I truly do adore the program with all of my heart.”

Arnold praised DWTS for its career-altering impact before expressing the value of family and vowing to always put her spouse and kid first.

She revealed that although her family of three presently resides in Utah, she is required to live in Los Angeles while dancing on DWTS.

According to Arnold, “There is SO much work involved in the logistics of making this happen, and there are a lot of sacrifices that have to be made that unfortunately simply did not feel right for us this time around.”

She claimed that she and Cusick made efforts to come up with further solutions, but that “none of the options felt good in my heart or felt like the appropriate thing for our lives right now.”

After getting married in Paris, Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev take their son Matteo to the Eiffel Tower.

She continued, referring to her and Cusick’s wish to have a second child, a process they have been open about with fans. “We are also trying to increase our family and that in itself is a complicated logistical issue as I’m sure many of you realize,” she said.

Arnold said, “Having said all of that, I want you to know that nothing I’ve said has anything to do with my love for the program, since it will never change, and it also doesn’t mean that my time on DWTS is coming to an end.
