Authorities have verified that PnB Rock, a rapper from Philadelphia best known for his popular songs “Fleek” and “Selfish,” was tragically shot during a heist in South Los Angeles on Monday.
At Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles on 106 W, the rapper, whose real name was Rakim Hasheem Allen, was having dinner with his girlfriend. Around noon, Manchester Avenue. TMZ was the first to reveal when the incident took place.

Capt. Kelly Muniz of the Los Angeles Police Department said, “It is a bold crime and it is unfortunate that two people come to eat and enjoy their meal and they are robbed while patronizing a restaurant.”
The restaurant company expressed its grief over the rapper’s passing in a statement uploaded to Instagram.
Rakim Hasheem Allen, popularly known as PnB Rock, was a phenomenal talent in Los Angeles and throughout the world, and his passing leaves us very devastated, the statement read. “His departure leaves each and every one of us with a great loss. Our deepest sympathies, best wishes, and prayers are with the Allen family during this trying time. Our top focus is ensuring the safety of all of our visitors and workers. We have kept our workplace as secure as we can and will do so in the future.
The shooter’s identity has remained a mystery.
PnB Rock and Pop Smoke worked together on the songs “Backseat” and “Like Me,” and Pop Smoke’s murder in 2020 has been compared to PnB Rock’s death due to the social media component of it.
Pop Smoke is thought to have posted the address of the Hollywood Hills residence he was living in before the shooting that claimed his life on social media.
