Famous authors react to the stabbing of Salman Rushdie in New York

The recent attack on Salman Rushdie in New York shocked the literary community worldwide on Friday.
The author of The Satanic Verses was reportedly stabbed in the neck at the literary event at Chautauqua Institution, according to the State Police, who then stated that he had been transported by helicopter to the hospital.
Several authors, including Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, and J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to voice their worry and support for Rushdie in the wake of this tragedy.
