The St. Louis Blues moved to the second round in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2018-19 after a 5-1 victory over Minnesota Wild Minnesota Wild on Thursday. They won the series in just six games.
“It was a hard and tough game”, Bozak said. Bozak declared post-game. “That’s an excellent team there. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t play in the opening stage of the playoffs. Two of the best team that play in the West and they should be given an enormous amount of recognition for the great season they enjoyed.”
The Blues (49-22-11) placed third place in the Central Division during the regular season. The last time that the Blues were in the second round and won the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
“This is among the most unique groups I’ve ever been a member of,” Talbot declared. “We’re truly building something new here. As much as it hurts now, I’m proud the players proud of the way we fought throughout the season.”
The Blues will face The Colorado Avalanche in the second round. The Avalanche took the season series 21-0.
